The bathroom incident...

The Terrace Theater in West Ashley did some nice pairing on its marque recently.

A movie about food and one about people preparing it.

The 2005 movie "Oliver Twist" would have been a another good one to add up there.

Remember the skinny kid holding his bowl and pleading "More please."

And perhaps "Super Size Me."

But signage doesn't stop at the front door.

Here's what formerly was known simply as MENS.

But, a real problem has developed downtown at the former IMAX.

And it too involves a bathroom. At The Hippodrome.

(I guess in both bathrooms but I have only this one picture.)

Sounds like a staffing problem to me.

Probably some hand wringing going on.

"Chapped hands, here comes Charlie!"

A Photo I Missed.....

This is a photo posted on the internet.

The beautiful panoramic view from Windows On The World restaurant.

There is no picture like this in my files.

I never got to the top of the World Trade Center.

(In Chicago I went up to the 95th floor of the John Hancock Center. There was no cost to go up, it had a bar and offered a great view of the Sears Tower.

Guess that's called the Willis Tower now.)

I spotted a mural featuring the WTC towers while I was riding the subway in New York a few years ago.

More than once, while watching a movie filmed in The City before 2001, I've seen the sparkling high rise distinctive landmarks.

I did stand in line for a tour at the Empire State Building most of a day during the Christmas holidays a few years ago.

Eventually we went up to the top and I looked over Central Park at a patch of sunshine that broke through the gray overcast.

Not quite the same.

Breakfast Of Icons....

Hey, I really do try to eat healthy.

Seriously.

This particular breakfast was rather late - almost a brunch - and there WAS some healthy orange juice. You can see it in the background....just past the White Castle wrappers.

The "belly bombers"(a.k.a."Sliders") are a snap to fix: just 60 seconds in the microwave if they're frozen and only 30 seconds if they have thawed.

And I was NOT having doughnuts. That was just a coffee cup from a famous chain.

I was not hungry again until much later in the day.

Then, as they say, I had a nutritious evening meal.

Probably some fish.

Swine Flu Jitters

This photo I snapped in New York - in Little Italy - came to mind a few nights ago.

David Letterman mentioned that Swine Flu was the subject for his Top 10 List.

Actually, it was a listing of ten dumb ways to avoid catching this year's disease.

Included was "Shop very carefully at Piggly Wiggly."

Also suggested was "Spray your bacon with Lysol."

The cute little piggies have fallen into disfavor.

Well, they never were cuddly but remember the hardships imposed on The Three Little Pigs by that wolf at the door.

And it wasn't exactly a great day for the piggy who "cried wee, wee, wee all the way home.

Speaking of animals, I would assume people are thinking less kindly toward the Stock Market "bullish" symbol that stands on Wall street in NYC.

That's a HUGE reminder of financial hardships.

I'm more comfortable with my animal friend - he's in law enforcement - up in Canada.

And, we both like hats.
